The over-arching purpose of AMQF-TC is to build and strengthen the capacity of African National QC labs which, in turn, will contribute significantly to reducing sub-standard and falsified medical products in circulation on the African markets.

AMQF-TC’s scope of work is illustrated in the above figure. In undertaking its activities, AMQF-TC will consider the disparities in the level of advancement of these NQCLs and control of SF in each REC and address the QC priorities of each region taking into consideration national and regional challenges.

The AMQF will be expected to advise the AMRC and AMRH SC, through the AMQF-TC, on relevant thematic areas.
